You might call them smileys or smiley faces. You might call them emoticons. I call them a free way to have fun online and express your feelings. Smileys used to be limited to what you could type on your keyboard, say :). Today you can choose from thousands of animated smileys, talking smileys and even 3D smileys. Use your smileys right away on MySpace, as well as Facebook, MSN spaces, blogs, IM, email, and more. But how do you choose from among all those websites that have free smileys.

Don't worry, I've made is easy for you. From my research, the best places online for your downloadable free msn emoticons are Freeze Smileys, Smiley Central, and Crawler Smileys. The three are similar in ways, but each definitely has its own style. I prefer Smiley Central, but that's just one opinion, you may like one of the others better. The good news for you is that since they are free, so you can try them and find the right one for you. Here's what you can do: Try one of the three. If you don't like those , just try another (bookmark this site). It's as simple as that. Here they are, have fun!

Smiley Central is probably the oldest and most popular. To download your msn emoticons from Smiley Central click here, or on this lovely pic.

Next is the Crawler Smiley Toolbar. As I mentioned above, there is no telling which you will like. To get your msn emoticons from Crawler Smiley click here, or click on the pic.

Last, but not least, are emoticons from Freeze.com. You guessed it, you can get your msn emoticons from Freeze.com by clicking here, or there.

Did I say three? Well here is one more I just found out about, that looks a little different. It's from the folks who brought you SmileyCentral. Check this out! With Smiley Creator, you can actually customize your own Smileys. Reminds me of Mr. Potato Head. Sweet!
